Cathy is a graduate member of Cilex and has worked in the Court of Protection department for 11 years. She is the first point of contact for many clients with employment or benefits queries within the department.
Dealing with the finances of clients with severe brain injuries, Cathy also enjoys working with clients that have learning disabilities.
With a degree in Criminology and Sociology, Cathy’s alternative career would be working in the Criminal Justice System although her dream job would be a wildlife photographer.
Cathy enjoys macro photography in particular and spends much of her spare time learning the craft. With a love for travelling, Cathy hopes to travel again to South East Asia or America to capture some more photos and is a fan of bands such as The Script.
I would like to say a big thank you to all at PotterReesDoaln, who helped get Criminal Injuries Compensation for my brother Billy, who suffered a brain injury caused by a hammer attack in Manchester in 1997. There have been a lot of ups and downs with Billy's behaviour problems. He spent a lot of time in hospitals and rehab and Billy now lives in Cardiff with the help of family and carers. He now has his own house and lives independently. PotterReesDolan still look after Billy's affairs because he is in the court of protection, so I know Billy will be looked after for the rest of his life. I would like to say again thank you Hugh, Cathy and Margaret for all your help you have given us and for the future help we will need.
