Education & career
Ebony studied Law at Manchester Metropolitan University and completed her LPC at the College of Law. Ebony says she was inpired to become a solicitor after undertaking work experience as a teenager:
I undertook work experience at Sale Magistrate court when I was 15. I was intrigued by the lawyers and court setting, particularly how they constructed their arguments. I was inspired to also be a voice for others and I decided that was a role I wanted to be in.
Prior to her solicitor training, Ebony completed the Bar course having worked within a catastrophic injury department and found this a thoroughly rewarding role. She has gained considerable knowledge of the challenges faced by those with serious injuries and enjoys working collaboratively alongside other professionals to ensure the best possible results are achieved for her clients. Ebony says:
As a Solicitor I enjoy explaining the law to my clients and how it relates to their individual case, as the claims process can often be overwhelming. Knowing they understand the process and what we are working towards provides me with satisfaction. I also enjoy being able to provide reassurance and encouragement during worrying times, as well as building a relationship with my clients.
Outside of work...
In her spare time, Ebony enjoys cooking, hvaing dinner parties with friends and travelling.
