Josh Morton

Josh is a Solicitor within our expert Personal Injury team, having joined the firm in the second half of 2021.

Education & career

Josh studied Law at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2015. After completing his Law degree, Josh enrolled on to complete the LPC part time during weekends at BPP Law School in Leeds. To fund the course he took up a position at a well known law firm in Wakefield days on a part time basis, whilst there Josh secured a position as a paralegal within the catastrophic injury department. Within 6 months he secured a new position as a paralegal in the catastrophic injury department at a law firm in Altrincham, he then secured a training contract with the firm which he completed in April 2020.

Josh stayed on with the firm for just over a year before joining the Personal Injury team here at Potter Rees Dolan as a solicitor.

Awards & accreditations

In 2019 Josh won the Young Achiever of the Year award at the Personal Injury awards.

Outside of work...

As of April 2022, Josh has been secretary for his local Headway branch in Warrington. Josh has also taken part in Headway’s annual corporate events for a number of years now - giving him the opportunity to undertake the UK’s highest freefall abseil. He has also previously taken part in the charity’s ‘Go Wild for Headway’ event in the Lake District. This involved abseiling down a quarry wall, jumping 30ft from quarry cliffs into freezing cold water, taking a tyrolean zip over the quarry & exploring old tunnel mines!

Josh is also quite the budding chef! His interest began whilst working on a Mediterranean delicatessen at Doncaster market - a part time Saturday job during his school days. His passion for cooking continued whilst at university and Josh was elected president of the Brum Dine with Me society for 2 years! Now he enjoys cooking for friends and family, hosting dinner parties when he can.

A lover of travelling, Josh and his partner take ski trips annually - as well as attempting to take a few more holidays throughout the year where he can enjoy some sun, sand and classical history (as well as a cocktail!)
