Richard Edwards

Richard is experienced in dealing with unusual, complicated and high value personal injury litigation, including bringing claims for those who have suffered brain, orthopaedic and amputation injuries, as well as claims for occupational stress. As a Solicitor-Advocate and APIL Fellow, he has dealt with claims in the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Richard is a passionate supporter of the rights of accident victims and writes articles on the topic which have been published in a range of professional journals.

With his love of writing, Richard’s alternative choice of career would be a writer of fiction. He has recently discovered a love for poetry and would choose the Oxford Book of Modern Verse as his one item if he was stranded on a desert island.

Richard enjoys a range of music from folk to classical and opera but he loves nothing more than spending time with his family exploring the Western Isles of Scotland.

What others say:
Richard handles high value, complex personal injury litigation with obvious care and skill, with meticulous attention to detail. He is fearless in advancing the interests of the Claimants who he represents, being forceful and well informed (while being perfectly polite and reasonable) in negotiations with his opponents. His personal skills in dealing with badly injured clients are first rate, advising with skill and authority but also with great sympathy and understanding.
