Samantha Hind
Samantha is an Associate in our Court of Protection team, having joined Potter Rees Dolan in early 2021.
Education & Career
Samantha studied Law at Sheffield Hallam and graduated in 2007, before going onto complete her LPC at the University of Sheffield. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2013. What inspired Samantha’s career in law? She says:
“I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was about 10 years old, it is very cliché but I always wanted to be in a position to help people. I worked at a law firm for my school work experience and they offered me a job, I spent all of my school holidays working but it confirmed my career choice for me.”
Samantha joined PRD’s ever expanding Court of Protection team in 2021, specialising in brain injury and litigation support work. Samantha understands the nuances of Best Interests Decisions vs Recoverability and how clients’ expenditure can impact on Cobham v Eeles calculations for interim payment requests.
Outside of work...
Samantha likes to keep fit and has recently signed up to The Body Coach’s workouts, she also loves to cook and appreciates a nice bottle of red. However, Samantha admits her hobbies have changed somewhat with having a toddler and now includes splashing in puddles, thanks to a certain Peppa Pig!

My wife and I are so relieved and overjoyed with outcome and really we only have yourself and The Brain Charity to thank. Clearly my standalone application and appeal was not enough and that the defining factor was your help and guidance. I really am so thankful for all your help, kind words and indeed motivation at times as it is a difficult process and situation to actually be in.

We would like to say Suzanne Sutcliffe is the best person that we have ever dealt with. She has been so warm, welcoming and thoughtful. She has treated us as human beings. Suzie had been so helpful and always goes that extra mile, we can't thank her enough. I really don't know how we would have coped without all her help and hard work. We've been through so much and the lead we got through Reuben's Retreat was like a angel was sent from God to guide us, thank you so much again.

Suzanne, you have worked hard on my behalf and I appreciate all the hours of work you put in. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten enhanced on both parts indefinitely. Thank you again for all your support as without it I would still be worried about money. Take care of yourself and wish all the success in the world in your life and career.
