Cyclist Cam: Mug of the Month Nominees
As a firm of serious injury solicitors, we regularly deal with road traffic collisions involving cyclists. We've commented in the past about how the police are going undercover to catch drivers who overtake cyclists dangerously.
Hugh Potter, Partner and Head of personal injury at PotterReesDolan, is a keen cyclist and rides into the office on a regular basis. Inspired by the undercover police, we decided to use a camera to film the types of experiences he deals with day-to-day on his journey to work.
We've collected the videos of various incidents; featuring van drivers, car drivers (and even the odd animal or two!) to show the sorts of encounters and dangers cyclists can face on the roads.
Each month we will upload a selection of videos asking you to vote for who you think is the 'Mug of the Month' - so head over to out Twitter page to cast your vote!

Hannah, thank you so, so much for the letter you sent and all the additions you helped with ever so much. In fact I really cannot stress enough how much I appreciate your input and giving your time- it’s beyond words.
Ms JP, London
My sister and I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Hannah and Potter Rees Dolan for your time and consideration regarding our case.
You have shown a depth of feeling towards us that we did not expect. Your support and guidance has been invaluable in as much as we have been able to grasp the complexities behind the pursuit of such a case, cause and effect and potential outcomes.
We still feel strongly that whilst the outcome may or may not have been the same, the diagnosis was delayed due to poor management and lack of pertinent diagnostic skills (lack of cytology). Furthermore, there was a failure of communication regarding the fast-track suspected ‘cancer’ status which clearly did not occur. As a consequence, he was robbed of any ability to receive chemotherapy/radiation at an earlier stage.
Taking all of this into consideration, the physical manifestation of the disease and its subsequent impact, we have decided to soldier on.
For us, his suffering and subsequent demise should not have happened in the manner in which it did. We greatly appreciate the link that you sent us and will be taking full advantage of it. We wish you well and success in all your future endeavors.

Physio Matters have worked alongside Potter Rees Dolan Solicitors for many years providing neurological physiotherapy for brain injured clients. The solicitors at PRD are a delight to work alongside and really understand the importance of early rehabilitation in these cases and also display a great deal of compassion and understanding when dealing with clients and their families at such a difficult time after injury. We have every confidence in the service that PRD provide from initial referral to settlement and beyond.
Colin Green, Clinical Director and Chartered Physiotherapist at Physio Matters
Over the years, we have struggled to get the help we need with our daughter's disabilities. At times it has been overwhelming and, as she has gotten older, we have had to face more and more challenges which have been very difficult. Over the last couple of years, Potter Rees Dolan have helped us tremendously and feel now we have a voice and all we want is for her to not have stress in her life. Peter Renshaw has made our Appeal easier to manage and a lot less stressful for us.
Mrs Fitzsimmons, Sheffield
I cannot thank Peter and Amy enough for all the help and support throughout. I was so lucky when Headway gave me your details. You have been like my guardian angels, I really could not have done it without you. I appreciate everything you have done. Thank you.
