£1.9 million in compensation secured for brain injury

Our client, Jamal, had just finished work for the evening and was on his way to collect some food. As he was standing by his car – which was parked at the side of the road – the Defendant drove into Jamal’s stationary vehicle, causing it to be shunted into him.

During the incident, Jamal suffered a traumatic brain injury, a fractured skull and severe bleeding on the brain. He also sustained severe orthopaedic injuries which seriously affected his mobility.

Jeanne Evans, Partner in our Personal Injury team, acted for Jamal and secured a total of £1.9 million in damages for his injuries. Jeanne commented:

“Early rehabilitation provided by a specialist team helped our client come to terms with the impact of the accident in terms of physical and psychological challenges. Settlement was achieved swiftly allowing the family to move forward and to make plans for their future knowing their future was secure.”

The names and identifying details of the client have been changed to protect the privacy of the individuals involved.
